Pisces McTavish Chandelier
The McTavish Chandelier, named for the pioneering Australian surfboard shaper Bob McTavish, is one of 2 hand made mobile lighting fixtures offered under the umbrella of the Pisces Collection.
For this collection, Andrea Claire, an avid surfer, was inspired by the shapes of waving kelp forests just below the surface of the ocean. The studio developed an intricate system of CNC cut tools to hand cast these unique shapes in 1/8” fiberglass and resin. All metal components are specifically designed for this collection and milled from solid brass.
In addition to the undulating fiberglass U shape, the McTavish has 1” diameter curving brass legs, 3 LED bulbs with 3 hand made white glass diffusers, a turned brass pod, and a fiberglass leaf. It hangs from 2 stems and an 8” brass canopy. Stem lengths are customizable.
Brass comes in 3 finish options: Brushed Brass, Unlacquered Brass, and Antique Silver (note that unlacquered brass will change, naturally, over time).
Fiberglass is only offered in: Satin Green
