Hanji Cassiopeia 7 V3: 4A3B Mobile Chandelier
The Hanji Cassiopeia 7 V3: 4A3B is a mobile chandelier with seven glowing hand-made Hanji paper shades. The intention was to create a modern chandelier that defies expectations, serving as both a unique light fixture and an abstract floating sculpture. These fixtures transform the spaces they hang in, and become the stunning focal point.
Here our signature shades are meticulously crafted from handmade Korean Hanji paper, an exceptionally durable and high-quality material derived from the inner bark of mulberry trees. The subtle natural texture and off-white brightness of the Hanji paper give the fixture a refined elegance both when illuminated and when turned off. Our unique techniques in handling this material carefully composes each side in a way that creates a marble-like look.
The Cassiopeia Series is designed for spaces with lower ceiling heights, where a horizontal chandelier is ideal. Cassiopeia 7 offers numerous variations and can be customized in size and finish. The proprietary frame system utilizes our unique brass tubing to conceal the wires and incorporates specially designed joints to create its distinctive shape. The subtle, almost imperceptible movement of the fixture adds a pleasant animation to the object.
