In search of the poetry beyond things
The Totemic series is a large-scale sculptural lighting installation by Los Angeles-based Andrea Claire Studio, exhibited during Milan Design Week 2026; it aims to explore themes of decorative ritual. Viewing light as an ornamental element within a space, the designer stacked the components to form a vertical, luminous architectural structure. The work comprises three distinct silhouettes: "Moon," representing constancy and romance; "August," embodying wisdom and gravitas; and "Sage," symbolizing the accumulation of knowledge.
